WATER WELL FUNDING HAS ARRIVED!!!

The School District has finally received our official funding agreement from the State to complete our Water Well project at Pioneer Elementary School!

ffff We have received $1.5 million dollars through applying to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act program. These dollars combined with grant money we had previously received from the State Water Revolving Fund will finally allow us to complete this long awaited project. You may recall that our other funding sources (which were state monies designated to our project) were frozen last December due to the State's fiscal crisis. We then pursued this other funding opportunity with our consultants at the California Department of Public Health and now we have the funding to continue! The project will be constructed in at least 2 phases now…with some work being done behind the construction fence in the back field of the school site, and the final part done during the summer of 2010 when students are not on campus. We will keep you informed along the way!
