Dear Pioneer Parents and Community Members,

As summer break is coming to a close, I would like to welcome you back to what is promising to be a great new school year for 2010-2011!

During summer break the District operations and maintenance staff was working very diligently to ensure our classrooms and schools were deep cleaned, playgrounds and fields were spruced up, and technology was updated.

In addition, our big project--the Pioneer Elementary School Water Well and Distribution System, is still under full construction with the 90,000 gallon storage tank assembled, trenching completed and 4 fire hydrants already installed. The project will be fully complete this fall of 2010. However, this will not impact our students or water supply at the school and in the true Pioneer tradition--we will have an official ribbon cutting and dedication when the project is fully completed.

Our enrollment has been very slow coming in during the summer--we expect more students when school opens on Wednesday, August 11, 2010.
